Our Commitment

Chandler Law is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that access to legal information and services is a right, not a privilege, and we work to make sure every visitor — regardless of ability, device, or technology — can navigate our site, understand our content, and reach our team.

We are based in Kelowna, British Columbia, and we are committed to meeting the spirit and intent of the Accessible British Columbia Act and the goal of a barrier-free province.
 

Conformance Standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines are the internationally recognized standard for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
 

What We've Done

To make our website more accessible, we have worked to:

• Use clear, plain-language headings and a logical, consistent page structure

• Provide sufficient colour contrast between text and background

• Ensure the site can be navigated using a keyboard alone

• Add descriptive alternative text to meaningful images

• Make our content responsive and readable across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices

• Support text resizing without loss of content or function

• Write descriptive links so their purpose is clear out of context
   

Ongoing Effort

Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time project. We regularly review our website and work with our web team to identify and resolve barriers as technology and standards evolve. Some older content or third-party tools may not yet fully meet our standards, and we are working to address these areas.

Some features of our website may rely on content or services provided by third parties (for example, embedded maps, scheduling tools, or document viewers). While we encourage these providers to maintain accessible products, we may not have full control over their content.

If you are unable to use part of our website, we are happy to assist you directly. Our team can provide information, answer questions, and arrange consultations by phone, email, or in person at our Kelowna office. No one should be unable to reach legal help because of a barrier on our website.
